What is the difference between Hard Chrome Plating and Decorative Chrome Plating?Hard chrome tends to be thicker than decorative chrome. The thickness of hard chrome falls within the range of .0001 - .01 mm while the decorative plating applies a thinner layer of chrome in teh range of .02 to .04 mm. Hard Chrome can also be used on different materials Such as Pistons and gears while the Decorative chrome can be used on Kitchen utensils, car parts, and tools.
