Alloy Chrome, Inc.  was established in 1980, and has earned the recognition as one of Chicagoland's best hard chrome plating facilities.  Alloy Chrome specializes in every aspect of the hard chrome plating field, from parts requiring a "flash" (minimum thickness) to parts that require a plating thickness of .100 millimeters.  Our personalized customer service ensures the highest quality of product with the best possible price and the option for delivery.

Hard Chrome Plating Process

Alloy Chrome specializes in hard chrome plating process to increase the durability, hardness and wear of metal components used in machinery and equipment.  

Hard Chrome Thickness

Hard chrome plating leaves a layer of chrome from 0.0008 to 0.0050 in. (from 0.020 to 0.127 mm) thick on the surface of the metal. In contrast, thin dense chrome plating has a thickness from 0.0002 to 0.0006 inch (0.005 to 0.015 mm).  Alloy Chrome focuses on deposits of chrome from .00001 to .100 inch.

Alloy Chrome's Capacity

Alloy Chrome has the capacity to support up to 10,000 amps.  Alloy chrome can also support products or pieces  up to 2,000 pounds and 16 feet in length.
